Young Gunners claim first points of the season
Our Under-18s secured their first points of the 2023/24 Premier League season with a hard-fought 2-0 win over West Ham United on Saturday.
Jack Wilshere's young team, featuring several graduates from our Hale End academy, showed great resilience to overcome a 2-0 deficit and secure their third victory in five games.
West Ham took the lead in the first half through a penalty, but Arsenal remained determined and pulled level early in the second half through a stunning strike from Omari Hutchinson.
The young Gunners continued to push forward and were rewarded when Ethan Nwaneri netted the winner with 15 minutes remaining.
The victory was a great confidence boost for Wilshere's team, who have now won four of their last five games in all competitions.
The Under-18s will be hoping to continue their good form when they face Chelsea away from home next weekend.
