Germany will be looking to break their recent poor home record against Hungary when the two sides meet in their opening match of Euro 2024 on Tuesday.
Joachim Low's side have won just one of their past six matches against Hungary on home soil, and they will be keen to avoid another slip-up against a side they have traditionally struggled against.
Hungary, meanwhile, will be hoping to continue their recent good form, having won four of their last five matches. Marco Rossi's side will be confident of causing an upset, and they will be buoyed by the fact that they have already beaten Germany once in this competition, in the group stage of Euro 2016.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 20:00 CET on Tuesday, June 19, 2024, at the Allianz Arena in Munich. It will be the second Euro 2024 match of the day, following the opening match between Spain and Russia.
